Refund Policy
Effective Date: March 25, 2025

At Precision Insights, we are committed to providing ethical, thorough, and confidential investigative services. Due to the sensitive and resource-intensive nature of our work, we have established the following refund policy:

1. General Policy

All payments made to Precision Insights for investigative services are non-refundable. This includes fees related to consultations, research, surveillance, reporting, and administrative time once services have commenced.

2. One-Time Services

For flat-rate or one-time services (e.g., background checks, skip tracing, asset searches, or surveillance sessions), full payment is required upfront, and no refunds will be issued once investigative work begins.

3. Non-Refundable Retainer Disclaimer

Certain investigative services may require a retainer fee prior to initiating work. This retainer secures investigator availability and covers preparation, planning, and case setup.
All retainer fees are non-refundable, regardless of case outcome or if the client chooses not to proceed after engagement. Unused time or resources covered by the retainer will not be reimbursed unless otherwise stated in writing.

4. Service Cancellation

If services are cancelled prior to any investigative work being initiated, a partial refund may be issued (excluding any retainer fees), subject to a 25% administrative deduction.

If any investigative activity has begun, no refund will be granted.

5. Client Cooperation

Refunds will not be issued due to the client’s failure to:

Provide accurate or complete information;

Communicate or respond in a timely manner;

Follow contractual or procedural guidelines.

6. No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to obtain accurate and helpful information, Precision Insights makes no guarantees regarding the results, outcome, or usefulness of investigations. Fees are for time, expertise and effort - not the guarantee of a particular discovery. Refunds will not be issued based on client dissatisfaction with findings.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

Clients agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for services that were rendered, initiated, or contractually secured through a retainer. Unauthorized disputes may result in legal action or third-party collections.

8. Legal Disclaimer

All investigations are conducted in full compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Precision Insights does not engage in or support illegal or unethical investigative practices.

9. Refund Exceptions

Refunds are only considered under limited circumstances, including:

Duplicate payments made in error;

Inability to begin services due to investigator conflict of interest, availability, or legal limitations;

Client cancellation within 24 hours of payment and before any investigative work or planning has begun.

Any exception is at the sole discretion of Precision Insights and may require written documentation. Approved refunds may take up to 10 business days to process.
